Fabian Oefner has created a series of such luscious photos, called Millefiori, using my new fave substance, ferrofluid. Do take a look at the link as there’s an amazing video of the process.
He also has some fantastic photo series of bubbles bursting, colour pigments dancing on speakers, and stuff exploding.
